Gratitude Trips
More than a visit—it’s a journey with purpose.
At WATERisLIFE, we believe real connection happens on the ground. That’s why we created the Gratitude Trip: a unique opportunity for individuals, families, and organizations to take action, travel with purpose, and witness the impact of safe water up close.
Each trip begins with a shared commitment: to fund and implement one or more safe water projects in the countries where we work. Once the funds are raised, participants join us in the field to help bring those projects to life—working hand in hand with our team and the local community.
This is not a traditional trip. It’s a deeply meaningful experience where giving becomes doing, and travel becomes transformation.
Stories of Impact and Connection
Bottle No.30 &
Trudy’s Journey
This group began their journey with a fundraising event in New York City. After successfully raising the funds, they traveled to Nairobi to help build a water kiosk in Mathare—working with their own hands to make safe water a reality for hundreds of families.
From there, they traveled to the Kenyan coast, where they distributed water filters in three schools, reaching more than 600 children. The experience concluded with a time of reflection and gratitude on safari—a powerful way to celebrate what they had made possible.
A Father, a Son,
and a New Mission
On another trip, a father, his son, and a group of close friends traveled to Kenya to visit our existing projects and explore opportunities for future impact.
In just a few days—filled with learning, emotion, and connection—they fell in love with the cause. After returning to the U.S., they launched campaigns to fund two new safe water projects in Kenya. Their journey was brief, but the impact continues to grow.
